Hi,
I managed to track down the regression I talked about; I was missing a bug
fix from our own ares tree. The included patch makes ares not skip a server
if it's the only one; that kind of situation should be handled by the retry
code instead.
Now only to track down the crashes probably related to thread safety
issues...
